Dalung "spended" gaffe runs wild

Okay, here goes again. Either sports minister Solomon Dalung doesn't know his grammar or is just blunder prone.m

His latest has trend lists and social media addicts abuzz for hours after a video post of him answering questions before the House of Representatives.

Legislators asked about the disbursement of funds to federations under his ministry.

Dalung replied, "The funds spended were properly spended because we got them from intervention funds from Mr President."

Pretty sure he's been spent since he video post here legs on the internet.

"This is coming from the minister of sports? Dalung won't kill us," posted Larry Oba.

Femi Olabisi tweeted he never believed the "spended" grammar was attributed to Dalung until he saw the video.

Recently another gaffe made news when he said there was no provision for the Super Falcons because it was never expected they'd win the African Women's Cup of Nations.
